VORIZOL 200MG TABLET is used to treat various fungal infections (such as invasive aspergillosis, candidaemia, invasive Candida sp. infections) in both adults and in children (aged 2 years or above). It can also be used to prevent fungal infections in high-risk bone marrow transplant recipients.
How VORIZOL 200MG TABLET works?
VORIZOL 200MG TABLET is an antifungal medication. It effectively controls fungal infections within the body. It disrupts the fungal cell membrane by blocking the production of certain chemicals (ergosterol) within the cell which is required for its survival. As a result, it stops the fungal cell from multiplication, thereby preventing the further spread of infection.
How to take VORIZOL 200MG TABLET?
Take VORIZOL 200MG TABLET 1 hour before or after meals or as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
How long should I take VORIZOL 200MG TABLET?
You need to take VORIZOL 200MG TABLET for the stipulated duration prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
What to do if I forgot to take a dose of VORIZOL 200MG TABLET?
If you forgot to take a dose of VORIZOL 200MG TABLET, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next dose of VORIZOL 200MG TABLET, skip the missed dose and take the next one regularly. Do not take a double dose of VORIZOL 200MG TABLET to compensate the missed ones.
